About the event
This one-day course is part of the CIC Leadership Development Training Series. Research shows that the management and culture of an organization are among the most crucial factors influencing police behavior. How leaders respond to officers about their behavior towards each other and the citizens they serve directly affects whether law enforcement is viewed as an institution that proves integrity. The primary goal of this course is to define ethical leadership and apply concepts to future decision-making and actions that will help motivate others to build trust and maintain respect. While this course is focused on ethics in law enforcement, those in related or other fields will find helpful approaches to including ethics in any leadership capacity. After training, the participant will be able to:
Create a common foundation of ethical leadership and its application to the policing field
