About the event
While this course is focused on ethics in law enforcement, those in related or other fields will find helpful approaches to including ethics in any leadership capacity. After training, the participant will be able to:
Create a common foundation of ethical leadership and its application to the policing field
Define ethical leadership, integrity, and trust; apply the definitions to the policing field, police departments, and the participant
Describe factors that can contribute to the breakdown of trust and respect within the policing field, police departments, the community, and individual supervisors and officers
Explore approaches that can help build and maintain a culture of ethical decision-making
Identify and apply problem-solving strategies through scenarios and case studies
